Narrative Kit is a set of random generators for writers and game masters. Characters, towns, plots, factions, monsters and more, built for tabletop RPGs, creative writing and worldbuilding.
139 generators. 62 are free and need no account. The rest come in themed packs, including Cosmic Horror, Pirate Seas, Space Opera, Weird West and Sword & Sorcery.
A pack is a themed set of generators. Each pack also has flows, which run several generators in order. Inside a flow, what you roll carries forward: the pirate captain you roll at the start is the one whose fate is decided at the end, and you finish with a complete scenario.
Every generator uses weighted random tables to produce varied results. Lock the fields you like and reroll the rest. Some generators have a tone switch, such as Pulp or Cursed, that changes the kind of results you get.
Both are free with an account. Session Mode is for running a game: put the generators you need on one screen, roll them as you play, and keep a log of everything rolled, session by session. Projects are for building a world: save results, add notes and pin what matters.
The free generators are free for good. A free account adds two bonus packs. Premium packs are a one-off purchase and yours to keep. Plus unlocks every premium pack for as long as you subscribe.
The generators run in your browser. We count how often each generator is used, but not what it produced. Your history and favourites stay in your browser. If you create an account, we store your account details, your purchases and what you save: project entries, notes, and your Session Mode results and logs, which save automatically.
