Conflict Generator

Generate story conflicts and dramatic situations for fiction, D&D campaigns, and RPGs. Create clashes between characters, factions, and forces with stakes and escalation.

Builds a two-sided conflict with six parts: Side A, Side B, the root cause, how it escalated, what is at stake, and a complication. Each field has 25 options. Sides range from a local authority trying to keep order to a family protecting a generational secret, and root causes include broken promises, a resource neither side can give up, and deaths that were never explained. The complication field keeps the dispute from being one-sided, with entries like obligations to both parties or a mediator who refuses to step in. Useful for regional tension in a D&D campaign, faction disputes in worldbuilding, or the central argument of a novel.

This generator creates: Side A, Side B, Root Cause, How It Escalated, What Is At Stake, Complication.
